Firewater Friday - Ancient Love Triangle

I think it’s safe to say that most people know the story of Adam and Eve.   God formed Adam from the earth. Some religions believe that Eve was not Adam’s first wife.   It is written that a woman was created at the same time and from the same earth as Adam . . . and her name was Lilith.  Because she was created as an equal to her mate, Lilith refused to be subservient to Adam and left the Garden of Eden.  It was then that God created Eve from one of Adam’s ribs.   Because Eve was born of his flesh she would be bonded to him and thus obedient to him.  Adam would not be alone and they could fulfill the mandates of God . . . . to eat, sleep and produce offspring.  Oh, let’s not forget the tree . . . the tree of life or death or knowledge, depending on your beliefs . . . they had to stay away from that.

When Lilith left the garden she consorted with fallen angels and her body was transformed from its womanly shape to a body that was of a woman from the waist up and a serpent below

We know from the stories that Eve was tempted by a serpent, took the apple from the tree and shared it with Adam.
Upon which God expelled them from the garden for disobeying and from then on were forced to labor and toil to survive.  The serpent  . . . was it really a snake at all?  Lilith, although now banished forever from the Garden, sneaked back and it was she who tempted Eve . . . innocent and naïve . . . by handing her the Punic Apple and so was responsible for the fall of man.

The Punic Apple . . . possibly not an apple at all, but a pomegranate . . . Punica granatum.  The name "pomegranate" derives from Latin pōmum "apple" and grānātus "seeded".  The genus name Punica refers to the Phoenicians.  Pomegranates have been cultivated in the Middle East since ancient times where the Garden of Eden was thought to have been.
